I have been in the cleaning field for 41 years and have been a school custodian for 25 years, the last 18 of which I have worked as a Head Custodian.  I am a Certified Building Operator (CBO) and have earned Building Operator Certification (BOC) levels I & II. I have been writing our custodial/maintenance newsletter for 22 years and blogging for 16. I am responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the high school in our district which is one of the largest in Washington State.  The job brings different challenges each day, but much can be learned from each challenge.  Every day has unique situations that must be assessed and solved. There's always something new to learn.
